Maximise Your Resources – Part 3

Posted by vernonsimpson on March 24, 2013

In the last post we talked about three more ways you can work on maximising your current resources. They included:

  • Reveal your business’ soul
  • From breaking even to breaking the bank
  • Stand up and stand out

Today we’ll talk about the last three areas you can work on to maximise your current resources. They are:

  • An offer they can’t refuse
  • Would you like fries with that?
  • Stay away from the edge of the cliff

An Offer They Can’t Refuse

The secret to success is to stay ahead of your competitors- maintain the competitive edge. To do that you need make it easier for your customers/clients to say “yes” rather than “no”. You do this by eliminating all the psychological, financial, physical, emotional and other road blocks they may have.

You can take the risks for them by offering warranties and guarantees that make the customer feel more confident in you, your business and your products/services. You also must be serious about your offer and follow through if a situation does arise. The quickest way to the bottom is to play games or take back a warranty or guarantee.

Would You Like Fries With That?

It’s the oldest trick in the book. I mean, really, how many times a week do you fall for it? Every time you sell a product or service, you need to offer an add-on, upgrade or back-end product to go with it. These products must be complimentary to the original product being purchased and must create a higher perceived value.

Avoid the Edge of the Cliff

Continuing to test and measure your systems, products, marketing methods and all other aspects of your business allow you to see problems before they happen and therefore avoid falling off the edge of the cliff.

Here are a few specific areas you can test for potential improvements:

  • Marketing
  • Sales Copy
  • Customer Service
  • Sales Letters
  • Sales Presentations
  • Employee-Customer Interaction

Through testing these different areas you will find products/services where you can raise the price, maybe others where you can lower the price or offer that product as an incentive item, and find many others areas for improvement that will better utilise your current resources.

This wraps up our series on how to maximise on your current resources. If you need help working through any of these or the previous areas, try our FREE test drive to work with one of our amazing business coaches.

    https://1businessworld.com/company/ranking-countertops-contractors-com-llc/

Hey everyone! If you’re in the middle of a kitchen remodel like I was, you’re probably searching for the best countertop contractors near me. I know how overwhelming it can be to choose the right professionals for your kitchen renovation, but I’ve learned a few things that can help you make the right decision.

First of all, it’s important to research contractors who specialize in kitchen countertops. Whether you’re looking for granite, quartz, marble, or even something more unique like recycled glass, you’ll want to hire a contractor who has experience with the material you choose. I made the mistake of hiring a contractor who wasn’t familiar with the specific type of countertop I wanted, and let me tell you, it made the process way more stressful than it needed to be.

Next, reviews are your best friend. Before hiring a contractor, I highly recommend checking online reviews, reading client testimonials, and even asking for referrals from people you trust. A great contractor will have a proven track record of delivering quality work on time and within budget. I personally reached out to past clients for feedback, and it made all the difference.

Another tip I have is to communicate your vision clearly. The best countertop contractors near me weren’t just skilled workers—they were also great listeners who worked with me to choose the best materials for my kitchen and helped me stay within my budget. This made the entire process much smoother and less stressful.

Finally, don’t rush your decision! The best countertops can elevate your kitchen and last for years, so take the time to hire the right contractor. Good luck with your remodel, and I hope these tips help you find the perfect contractor for your project!

Tamara Ecclestone angered her Instagram fans when she shared
photos of her daughter Fifi’s 10th birthday present – a sloth.

The millionaire heiress, 39, captioned the photos ‘Special birthday morning’ with three love
hearts, while her fans went wild in the comments.

The images all featured Fifi and the sloth, with a couple also showing
her sister Serena who turned four a few days before.

Fifi and Serena are Tamara’s only children and she shares them with her
husband of over a decade Jay Rutland, an art dealer.

Tamara, who recently spoke out about the release of her mansion’s burglar,
was hit with comments such as: ‘I’m disgusted by this. I’m unfollowing.’

Tamara Ecclestone, 39, angered her Instagram fans when she shared photos of
her daughter Fifi’s 10th birthday present – a sloth (Fifi pictured with sister Serena, four, and sloth on Sunday)

The millionaire heiress (pictured in March), 39, captioned the photos ‘Special birthday
morning’ with three love hearts, while her fans went wild
    in the comments

The images all featured Fifi, wearing sweet pyjamas which read ‘When I
wake up tomorrow I will be 10’, and the sloth

They continued: ‘Sloths are solitary creatures who want to be left alone,
thus unlike household animals, they do not like to be touched.

‘They don’t like humans either. I love your page but
this sucks. These creatures are NOT for your enjoyment.’

‘”Mummy – get me a sloth” – “sure princess, anything you say”.’

‘Unfollowed because this is just wrong on so many levels.
    Shame on you Tamara.’

‘Horrific’; ‘Horrific. How shocking. This is nothing more than animal abuse.’

‘Wrong move Tamara. It shocks and stuns me that in 2024 people still use animals for
    things like this.’

‘The world doesn’t revolve around your children. You don’t have
to drag wild animals in to your house for your children amusement.
This is just disgusting and stupid.’

‘This is so wrong on every level. I can’t follow this account
    any longer.’

‘I’ve enjoyed this page but unfollowing now as I can’t believe you brought a sloth into your home .
Maybe spend the money seeing them in the wild next time.’

Fifi and Serena are Tamara’s only children and she shares them with her husband of over a
decade Jay Rutland, an art dealer

The birthday girl beamed as she stroked the hair of her new pet who was thousands of miles away from his forest home

The new addition to the family hung peacefully in the living
room where the armchairs carried Chanel pillows

Tamara’s fans abandoned her in droves, disgusted that she would rip an innocent animal from its natural habitat
just because a 10-year-old asked her to

Welcome to Ice City: Russia plans to build frozen community 1,
000 miles from North Pole… as race for Arctic minerals heats up

Russia is to build an ultra-modern city on a frozen island deep inside the Arctic Circle – in the Kremlin’s latest move to back
its claim to vast oil and gas reserves under the polar ice cap.

Named Umka, after a popular Soviet polar bear cub cartoon hero, the
initial 5,000 residents will live under a vast dome to protect themselves from temperatures sinking below minus 30C
    in winter.

‘This city will be of strategic importance as Russia’s northern outpost,’ said architect Valery Rzhevskiy who has shown its modernistic designs to an approving Vladimir Putin.

Extraordinary: The city will cost up to £4 billion and be built on the remote
island of Kotelniy, in the Novosibirsk archipelago, some 1,000 miles from the North Pole

Vast: The Umka designs are based on the International Space Station but in comparison is much
larger – one mile long and 800 yards wide

Sources say it is likely to house soldiers, border guards and secret service officers,
as well as scientists and explorers, as Moscow gets serious about claiming Arctic mineral riches.

All will enjoy a luxury lifestyle in the cocoon with its own specially regulated temperate climate – including many facilities to make inhabitants of other cities envious.

‘We aim to have scientific laboratories, houses, but also parks with
attractions, an Aqua complex, hotels and a cathedral.
Naturally there will be schools, kindergartens,
recreation zones, a hospital, and sport facilities are planned, too,’ said Rzhevskiy.

‘We want people who will be living and working here not to realise they are in some closed space with an aggressive
    Arctic climate outside.’

The extraordinary venture – nicknamed ‘wonder city’ – will be built at a cost of
up to £4 billion on the remote island of Kotelniy, in the Novosibirsk archipelago
, some 1,000 miles from the North Pole, closer than any other Russian city.

Strong winds make it one of the most inhospitable places on the planet, and even in summer it barely
    climbs over freezing point.

Bleak: Strong winds make the area one of the most inhospitable
places on the planet, and even in summer it barely climbs
    over freezing point

The Umka designs are based on the International Space Station, but it is
vast by comparison – just short of one mile long and 800 yards
    wide.

‘So far it’s the only project in the world with an artificial climate and integral life support – just like on the space station. Not only is
it a new word in architecture, but in human living too.

We have used aero and space technologies while creating it.’

word in architecture, but in human living too. We have used aero and space technologies while creating it.’

    – Valery Rzhevskiy, architect

Electricity will be supplied by a floating nuclear power station. Food wise,
it will be totally self-sufficient with fish and poultry farms, greenhouses, a
    wheat processing factory and bakeries.

‘There will not be any rubbish at all, as the city will have two  factories
    converting all kinds into ashes.’

It will house workers for local mines and oil platforms
which should pay the costs of the development, it is
    claimed.

‘This project is designed to work on any surface, even on the Moon if
needed,’ said Rzhevskiy, one of Russia’s top architects.

The ice city plans – currently with no fixed timetable for opening
    – comes as all countries with territory touching Arctic waters are gearing
up to make competing demands to the United Nations over
    underwater mineral exploitation rights.

Western countries were stung when in 2007
Russian polar explorer Artur Chilingarov placed his country’s flag in the Arctic seabed
    in 2007.

‘We must prove the north pole is an extension of the Russian land mass,’ he said
    at the time.

A Canadian think tank this year even warned that ‘an arms race maybe beginning’,
expressing concerns at the risk of conflict.

The U.S., Canada, Norway and Russia have all boosted their naval presence in Arctic waters amid warnings of a Cold
War that could literally be cold – except perhaps at
    Umka.

Egyptian security forces guard a polling station in the Mediterranean port city of Alexandria,
where locals were voting in a referendum on constitutional amendments that could keep President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in power until 2030

Egyptians voted for a third and final day Monday
on constitutional changes that could keep President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in power until 2030, amid reports of people actively being encouraged to go the polls.

Sisi, who become president in 2014 and was re-elected in 2018 after eliminating all serious political competitors, is widely expected to win backing
    for the proposed amendments.

The sweeping changes would extend his current
term until 2024 and would also give him the right to
    stand for another six-year term.

Other controversial amendments on the ballot include boosting his
control over the judiciary and giving the military even greater influence in Egyptian political life.

AFP correspondents saw pro-Sisi volunteers handing out boxed meals at several
polling stations in Cairo to voters after they had cast their ballots.

The parcels contained staples such as oil, rice, pasta and sugar.

Human Rights Watch has criticised the “grossly unfree, rights-abusive environment”
of the vote, where the ‘No’ campaign has been effectively muzzled.

Ahmed Badawy, an engineer and youth activist with two political parties, wrote on Twitter on Sunday that
he had been arrested, using the widely used hashtag “Go down, say No”.

He posted a picture of himself earlier holding a red placard in an upmarket suburb of
Cairo with the text “No, to the constitutional changes”.

“He didn’t commit any crimes. He was expressing his views in a peaceful manner”, Badawy’s lawyer Mohamed al-Baqer told AFP.

Badawy is detained in a police station but the family have
received no official notification from the authorities, Baqer said.

In Imbaba, a working-class suburb hugging the Nile, an eyewitness
on Monday told AFP of seeing street vendors being forcefully loaded onto buses
    to go vote.

On the first day of the referendum, some voters told AFP their
employers had encouraged them to vote “Yes” and transported
them to polling stations in company buses.

In their initial report, an international observer team said “there were no hurdles to voting”.

Egypt’s state-affiliated foreign media body on Sunday denounced
    instances of critical international coverage.

The referendum also proposes other changes to the five-year-old constitution, including creating a second parliamentary chamber and a quota ensuring at least 25 percent of lawmakers are women.

The final results will be announced on April 27.
